| CDNF

Cerebral dopamine neurotrophic factor also known as ARMET-like protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CDNF gene.It has a stimulatory effect on dopamine neurons. Prevents 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA)-induced degeneration of dopaminergic neurons. Administered after 6-OHDA removal, it restores dopaminergic function and prevents degeneration of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra.
